Springfield Catholic Credit Union Merges Into TelComm Credit Union
SPRINGFIELD— Springfield Catholic Credit Union has merged into TelComm Credit Union, effective July 1, 2018. Members of Springfield Catholic Credit Union were sent letters announcing the merger on April 16, 2018.
“We’re very pleased to take this next step with TelComm Credit Union,” said Steve San Paolo, President of Springfield Catholic Credit Union. “We have been blessed to serve people of the Catholic faith for sixty-three years. With TelComm’s resources, our members now have access to the same amenities offered by other financial institutions, such as debit cards, credit cards, IRAs and ATMs. We remain dedicated to serving the Catholics of southern Missouri through this new, exciting chapter.”
The merger represents a growth of the counties TelComm Credit Union currently serves; membership was previously available to individuals (and their families) who live or work in Greene, Christian, Lawrence, Webster and Polk Counties. The addition of Springfield Catholic Credit Union extends that membership to those who are parishioners of Catholic churches in Barton, Cedar, Dade, Jasper, Newton, McDonald, Barry, Stone, Dallas, Taney, Laclede, Douglas, Ozark, Wright, Houston, Howell, Dent, Shannon and Oregon counties, in addition to the counties TelComm currently serves. Springfield Catholic Credit Union staff have transitioned to TelComm Credit Union.
“We are honored to bring Springfield Catholic Credit Union into the TelComm Credit Union family,” said Don Ackerman, President of TelComm Credit Union. “We look forward to learning how we can best serve them with our wide array of additional products and services.”
TelComm Credit Union has strong ties to the Catholic community through Ackerman, who is a parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Springfield and TelComm Board Chairman Greg Eck, a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Nixa.
Springfield Catholic Credit Union officially closed June 29 at 5:00 PM. The existing office, located at 1029 S Campbell Ave, will be available for purchase in the months ahead.
