TelComm Credit Union
has been serving
Southwest Missouri since 1940.
As a member-owned cooperative, we operate on one principle: people helping people. When you join TCU, you are not a customer. You are an owner. That means your voice counts, your money works harder, and you have access to competitive rates, fewer fees, and a team that actually picks up the phone.Â
Membership is open to more people than you might think. And once you are a member, you are always a member.
Why Choose TelComm
You Have a Voice
TelComm is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Any member can be elected to the Board, and every member gets one vote regardless of account balance. When you bank here, you shape what happens here.
Your Money Works Harder
As a not-for-profit, any revenue we generate goes back to members in the form of lower loan rates and higher savings rates. We do not pay dividends to outside shareholders. We invest in you instead.
Free Checking That Pays You
Members with an average daily balance of $200 or more earn dividends on their checking account, paid monthly. No hoops, no fine print.
Fewer Fees
We do not believe in unnecessary charges. When fees do apply, they are typically lower than what you would find elsewhere.
Local Decisions, Local People
Our leadership and board members are part of the Southwest Missouri community. Decisions are made here by people who live here.
Your Deposits Are Secure
TCU members are insured up to $1,000,000 at no cost. The NCUA (the federal credit union equivalent of the FDIC) insures qualifying funds up to $250,000. On top of that, TelComm is the only area credit union offering an additional $750,000 in free coverage through ESI (Excess Share Insurance).
